Join Jane Swain for this workshop designed to empower parents and caregivers by helping them recognize the profound capacities of their infants to self-determine the timing and sequencing of their movements. We will explore the various stages of motor development, from lying on their backs up into standing and walking. Participants will come away with new ways to observe and support their babies’ movements, along with an appreciation of how each and every stage of motor development is important in and of itself, and is foundational for the next stage.
Jane will show slides and videos of babies moving. You will have a chance to get down on the floor and try some of the ways babies move, if you want to. (You are also free to just watch!) And there will be time for questions and discussions.
This is an online workshop hosted via Zoom
