Val is passionate about sharing yoga with kids, teaching them the values of breathing, meditation, mindfulness and ultimately, believing in the power of themselves.
Yoga has been so beneficial to her throughout her adult life, coping with everyday stresses and in helping to balance her mental health. Yoga is something she wished she had as a kid so she loves being able to welcome children into this calming world and helping them incorporate the values of yoga into everyday situations.
She completed training in the Pink Buddha Mindfulness and Positive Mindset program, and holds a 50 hour teacher training from Zenergy Kids Yoga Training. Professionally she worked as a historian and managed operations within the Museum sector, creating and implementing education programs and events. She also studied writing and singing and these are all skills which she calls upon to create a fun and meaningful experience in all her classes, workshops and events.

She has written two books, which are both in the editing stages. One is a novel based on a true story about a woman who triumphed over the adversities of a tumultuous childhood. The other is a book of illustrated guided meditations for children.

Val grew up in upstate New York and now lives in Mt Martha, Australia with her husband and two kids, aged 5 and 10.
